Urodele
The order of the urodela ( Urodela ) is a order of Amphibien S which keep a tail in an adult state, unlike the Anoure S (like the Grenouille S and the Crapaud S) and of the Gymnophione S.
It gathers the salamander S, the triton S and other species related. The urodela have characters of primitive Amphibians, alive in moist environments and expenses under the stones or the stocks. They do not move by jumps like the Anoura, but generally while going, sometimes while running. The watery species can move at the bottom of water while going, and are rather good swimmers, utilsant their tail developed well for the propulsion.
Certain species, whose some Salamandridés, is Vivipare S, giving rise to miniature adults completion trained, unlike eggs. In this case, the larval stage passed inside the mother. The number of individuals thus produced thus is very limited, compared with the species being able to lay hundreds of eggs.
It is Pierre André Latreille (1762-1833) which created the term of urodele in 1825.
The name of Urodela comes from the Greek ουρα , tail , and δηλοσ , visible , is with visible tail , because in these animals the tail persists after the metamorphosis of passage at the adulthood, contrary for example to the Anoure S.
