Uri To freeze

Uri Geller (December 20th 1946 -) is a TV host Israél IEN claiming to have the faculty of Psychokinésie. He is regarded by his detractors as a Prestidigitateur and a charlatan. The main thing skeptic has to have unbolted its claims is James Randi.

Biography

Born in Hungary, it passes its adolescence in Cyprus. He moves then in Israel. He affirms to have taken part in the Guerre the six day old for then becoming Mannequin.

Psychokinesist

Employed in a club, it is interested in the Paranormal and carries out investigations into the Psychokinésie, the geobiology and the Télépathie.

Its allegations of supernatural events were worth to him reproaches of the scientific community and severe criticisms on behalf of associations of Sceptique S.

Anecdote

March 14th, 1987, Uri Geller is invited to the emission Right of reply animated by Michel Polac entitled the Geller effect.

At the beginning of the emission, Uri Geller carried out in front of the various cameras demonstrations , which it presented like experiments of Parapsychologie and like the expression of capacities paranormaux or Surnaturel S.

Gerard Majax (which attended the emission in slide) appeared then on the plate. Then, with the great astonishment of the public and the guests, it remade demonstrations identical to that which Uri Geller had just achieved:

It twisted with 35 degrees a club of metal golf, as if it were about rubber, whereas Michel Polac held the club in his hand.
It made whirl the needle of a compass, definitely more quickly than Uri Geller had just done it a few minutes earlier.
It simply twisted a small spoon by looking at it.

During this demonstration Gerard Majax used several times the words Tricherie , diversions of attention and Illusionisme, showing Uri Geller to be a charlatan.

Today

Jovial fellow, he is the friend of Michael Jackson and he speaks five langues.
