The National front is a Belgian Political party French-speaking of Extrême right-hand side, founded in 1985 by Daniel Féret, president currently disputed. This party is resulting from three bunches: the Nationalist Social movement , the Union for a new Democracy and the group Delta . Between 1989 and 1991, it was joined by the majority of the leaders of the Front of youth (FJ) - Belgium and of the Parti the forces new (the NFP).

Program

The electoral program of Front National is mainly centered on the topic of the Maghrebian Immigration or Turkish. The ideology of Front National is considered, by its adversaries in particular, like populist, Réactionnaire, and Nationaliste. Since its foundation, the progression of this party, in prey with ceaseless internal conflicts, is more or less limited. At the time of the last regional elections of 2004, Front National obtained 8,1% of the voices at the Walloon Parliament.

Situation

The Belgian FN currently has an elected official with the Room (Patrick Cocriamont), of an elected official to the Sénat, Michel Delacroix, of four elected officials to the Walloon Parlement (Charles Petitjean, Charles Pire, Daniel Huygens and Jean-Pierre Borbouse), of four elected officials to the Parlement of Brussels (Guy Hance, Audrey Rorive, Paul Arku and Christiane Van Nieuwenhoven) and of four elected officials to the Parlement of the French Community.

Among the former elected officials of this party, one can count Juan Lemmens, Georges Matagne (death in 1997), Hugues Wailliez, Marguerite Bastien, Alain Sadaune, Guy Hance, Alain Michot, Thierry de Looz-Corswarem…

The notoriety of the party comes in particular from the indirect publicity which is made to him through the National front French. The logo and the initials are certified copies of the homonymous French party which however denies any relationship to him.

There exist many associations which have the role to fight this party. Moreover, as well French-speaking media as the French-speaking political parties apply towards the FN the process of the “medical Cordon”: thus during the program precedent the communal and provincial elections (October 8th, 2006), the FN will have profited from no presence in the media.

Daniel Féret and its close entourage occupies several important stations within the party and controls this one in a narrow way. This control exerted by Féret often caused problems and tension, like when Francis Detraux, senator elected direct in 2003, founded a dissidence, National Force, in 2004.

In October 2007, while the inculpations against Daniel Féret and his entourage multiply, the president of the FN must face a sling of the political office of the party which relieves it and indicates Michel Delacroix like chair making functions, while Féret affirms that the action of the office was illegal and deposits felt sorry for.
