A ureterostomy (Bricker) is a surgical intervention of which the goal is to make bring together the Uretère S with the skin, on the level of the abdominal wall.

It makes it possible to collect the urine coming from the Rein S directly in a pocket.

The most frequent pathology which brings has a ureterostomy: Cancer of the bladder or bladder neurogene which involves a cystectomy or even a total cystoprostatectomy (ablation of the bladder and prostate). This operation for technical reasons involves disorder of the erectility at the man.
