Ureaplasma urealyticum
Ureaplasma urealyticum is a species isolated from the urogenital system and Rhinopharynx of the man. This Bactérie is responsible for Urétrite S (15 to 20% of nongonococcal urethritides) and sometimes for Pyélonéphrite S. In the expectant mother, the infection of the low genital ways does not have clinical effect on the fetus but the infection of the chorion and the amnion is at the origin of Chorioamniotite S, premature births and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Currently, Ureaplasma urealyticum is implied in low respiratory infections and in infections of the central nervous system of the infants, in particular at the premature ones and the infection is reproduced in experiments at the Souris and at Primate S. Occasionnellement, Ureaplasma urealyticum is isolated from peritonites or arthritis at weakened subjects.
