Urban Transportation Development Corporation
The UTDC or Urban Transportation Development Corporation was a Canadian company created in the years 1970 by the government of the province of Ontario.
The factory of UTDC was in the west of Kingston.
It developed freight vehicles for the official authorities of transport of the province of Ontario, and mainly for largest between it, that of Toronto, the Toronto Transit Commission (including all taxes) for which it manufactured the cars models H4 and H5 of its subway and the trams CLRV and ALRV.
UTDC also conceived and built the Intermediate Capacity Transit System (ICTS) for the subway of Scarborough Toronto and the original [Skytrain]] of [[Vancouver]]. Other vehicles were manufactured by ''' UTDC ''' as cars of the red line (Red line) of [[subway of Boston]] and them cars of [[tram]] for the town of [[Santa Clara (California)|Santa Clara]] in [[California]]. The company ''' UTDC ''' was acquired in [[1992]] by the group [[Bomber Inc|Bomber]] after having amalgamated with the company ''' Hawker Siddeley Canada ''' of [[Thunder Bay (Ontario)|Thunder Bay]].
