Urbain of Laval Boisdauphin
Urbain of Laval Boisdauphin (° 1557 - † March 27th 1629), wire of Rene of Laval (°~ 1515 - † 1597 with Saint-Quentin) and of Jeanne de Lénoncourt (X in September 1547 ), Viscount of Bresteau, was marquis of Sablé and count of Boisdauphin, Aunay and Saint-Aubin, man of war and diplomatic français.
He married with Angers the February 16th 1577 Madeleine of Montecler, lady of Bourgon (°~ 1562 - † May 17th 1612). They had as a child Philippe Emmanuel of Laval, marquis de Sablé († June 4th 1640 with Wood-Dolphin).
Biography
It made its first weapons with the seat of Livron in 1575. It was used with the seat as Fère in November 1579, with the combat of Vimory from October 26th to 27th 1579 and of Auneau the November 24th 1587.It rejoined the party of the catholic Ligue, for which it fought with Ivry the March 14th 1590, where it was wounded and prisoner. It was in 1591 the chief of the League in the Maine.

It then made act of tender to Henri IV while giving to him Sablé and Castle-Gontier.
It accepted the stick of Marshal of France in 1595.
The January 5th 1597, it is elected knight of the Ordre of the Holy Spirit. He is ambassador extraordinary in Germany in 1599. He is governor of Anjou (1604 - 1619).
Louis XIII entrusted to him in 1615 the command of the royal army against the rebellious princes. It left then the court, was withdrawn with Sablé where it died in 1629. It was buried in the church of the Prémontrés de Précigny.
