Giovan Battista Castagna , born with Rome towards 1521, pope of the September 15th to the September 27th 1590 under the name of Urbain VII (in Latin Urbanus VII , in Italian Urbano VII ). He died of the malaria. He reigned during 13 days and was not crowned.

He was buried in the basilica of the Vatican; later, its remainders will be transferred to the church from Santa Maria Sopra Minerva.
