Urbain Kid
Urbain Kid , French writer, born with Loudun in 1613, died in 1701.
It passed almost all its life on journeys, and made a rather long stay at the court of Sweden, where he was secretary of the commands of the queen Christine of Sweden.
One has of him:
- Scanderbeg , Paris, 1644;
- Remarks on poetries of Malherbe , 1660;
- several plays, among which one notices the Continuation and the Marriage of Cid , tragi-comedy, 1638;
- a collection entitled Chevraeana , 1700.
Its Ĺ’uvres frays appeared with $the Hague, 1717.
