Saitama 336-8505 |- |bgcolor=" white" | |bgcolor=" white" | |} The Urawa Red Diamonds (浦和レッドダイヤモンズ), so known like Urawa Reds (浦和レッズ), are one of the most popular teams of the J. League. They are based with Urawa-ku in the town of Saitama. Their name comes from the logo of their owner: Mitsubishi, whose name wants to say 3 diamonds.

Urawa has two stages, Urawa Komaba Stadium and the Saitama Stadium (see Football world cup of 2002).

In August 2004, Urawa appears in one pre-season of a tournament with 4 teams, the Cut Vodafone with Old Trafford, the house of Manchester United. The Japanese club lost its first match 5-2 against the Argentin club of Boca Juniors.

In 2004, Urawa finished third of the J. League in the first part and gained the second, being thus qualified in the championship Suntory (a match return ticket to determine the champion of the J. League) against the Yokohama F. Marinos. After having lost 1-0 with Yokohama, the reds gained on the same result with the Saitama Stadium; the penalties gave the victory to the Yokohama F. Marinos.

In 2005, the club finishes to 1 point only of the Champion, Gamba Osaka, at the end of a last unforgettable day which could offer the title to 5 different teams.

In 2006, the club holds finally its 1st championship of J.League, at the end one incredible season, without any defeat in residence. The club will triumph at the end of the last day of the champion in title, the Gamba Osaka (3-2) in front of its public, in true a " finale" championship.
