Unknown Pleasures is the title of an album of the group Joy Division, left to Factory Records in June 1979 in the United Kingdom, 1979 to France (ref. 33t Virgin 201883), July 1980 in the United States.
Republished in double CD on September 17th 2007 in the United Kingdom by Factory Records (ref. FACD 10/London), with first CD which takes again the songs of the original album and a second which includes/understands the recording in the concert with The Factory of Manchester (and not of London, as on fourth CD of the box Heart and Soul ), on July 13rd, 1979 (new hitherto).
The small pocket of the album is a model of Peter Saville; the image, chosen by Bernard Sumner, is entitled 100 consecutive pulsate from the pulsar CP 1919 .
