University pole of sciences of management of Bordeaux

The university Pôle of sciences of management of Bordeaux is a department of the Université Bordeaux IV. It open for back to university 2006 and was inaugurated on March 2nd, 2007.

The building is the work of the architects Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal. Constituted of concrete, steel and glass, the building will in the long term have a vegetable frontage which will slice with the current industrial aspect (footbridges in steel calleboti, rough concrete grounds).

Situation

The Pole of Management is located in the development Reach " Heart of Bastide" who has as a limit the banks of the Garonne, the botanical garden and the old Station of Orleans (at present a cinema multiplexing). It is served by the line tram: Station Botanical garden) like by a line of bus.

Composition

The pole of management gathers some compsantes Université Bordeaux IV:

the UFR trainings specialized in economy and management
IUP trades of Bordeaux wine;
the Institute of administration of the companies;
central services and the departments Business management and administrations and Techniques of marketing of the Academic institute of technology Bordeaux-Montesquieu
the IRGO Research institute in management of the organizations
the infothèque (funds of national reference of documentation of research in management)

The building makes 11.005 m2 of usable surface, can accommodate 3000 students and is as follows made up:

2 amphitheaters of 200 places
1 amphitheater of 150 places
1 amphitheater of 100 places
1 Infothèque: 35000 works, 365 titles of periodicals, 3000 memories, theses, books of research, etc
Restoration: 200 covers
multi-media Center: 8 rooms equipped including 2 in free access and 3 dedicated to the language teaching.

In the long term all the rooms will have of a fixed computer and material of projection. It is also expected that the wifi covers the whole of the building
