University of the businesses of Namur

The University of the businesses (called initially practical School of trade then commercial Educational establishment of Namur) is an establishment of higher education located at Namur (Belgium) founded at the end of the XIXe century. ESA account today more than 900 students and ambitionne to be an university of trade. It belongs to the Pole mosan of higher education and academic (to which belonged the University of Liege).

The School divides its buildings with the royal Athenaeum François Bovesse de Namur. The site is dedicated to teaching since 1545 with the creation of the Latin School of the Falcon. The current buildings, of Renaissance style mosane, started to be built in 1611 at the time of the installation of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in load of teaching. The college, the tower and the home of the fathers were completed in 1620. As for the church, of style baroque, it was dedicated to Saint-Ignace then with Saint-Wolf. This remarkable historical unit is the subject of a classification.
