University of journalism of Paris
The University of Journalism (ESJ Paris) is the world senior of the schools of journalism. She trains general-purpose journalists in all media (written press, radio, TV and Internet).
Characteristics
Founded in 1899, the ESJ, the University of journalism of Paris enorgueillit to be itself with the point of the teaching of the media: formation on computer with work in studio Radio and TV while passing by the study of the new media.The originality of the ESJ is to be one of the rare schools forming of the general-purpose journalists all media (written press, Radio, TV and Internet). The ESJ tries to remain with the point of the innovation as regards teaching of journalism with new formations: teaching of the measuring rod, training with recruitment, etc…
Each student of the University of journalism is trained to be operational in a universe of the communication in full evolution. The teaching staff of the School is exclusively made up professional journalists and academics.
She is recognized by the State and delivers a diploma of class II (Maitrise /mast era I) aimed by the CNCP ministry for Higher education and Research, but she does not form yet part of the twelve formations recognized by the national joint committee for the employment of the journalists.
The ESJ is also present at Agde (ESJ the Mediterranean) and in Belgium (ESJ Brussels).
Frequency ESJ
Since March 19th, 2007, the students have to them webradio. Frequence ESJ is the first associative radio of the students of the University of journalism of Paris. Diffused on Internet (www.frequence-esj.com) in partnership with Fréquence3, the French-speaking first webradio, it allows the listeners, curious journalists or curious Net surfers, to discover their pleasure of the antenna and their passion for information.Apprentices Journalists, this project is for them a testing ground. The team, made up of first, second and third years, offers multiple glances on the topicality cultural, sporting, political and media… without forgetting to divert.
