University of audio-visual

The University of audio-visual (ESAV) of Toulouse is one of the three only schools of French public education (with the École Louis-Light and the Fémis) where the trades of the Cinéma are taught. It was created in 1978, under the impulse of the Université of Toulouse it Mirail. It delivers the following diplomas: license 3 - master 1 - master 2. The master 2 “research” gives access thereafter the course doctorate.

Its initial goal is to contribute to the professional training of those which intend for the trades Journalisme, radio, Télévision and Cinéma. The ESAV is located at Toulouse in buildings independent of the center town since 2003, after having been with the Université of Toulouse it Mirail, and is directed by Guy Chapouillié. The audio-visual bullfight (international meetings of the Schools of Cinema and Television), key period of the formation, has opened large its doors, each year for more than 20 years, with the achievements and the handing-over in question of the schools of cinema of the whole world in order to confront different cinematographic, teaching and cultural approaches.
