The university of architecture of the gardens and the landscapes is a French private school founded in 1966 having the statute of Association law 1901. It trains landscape gardeners and accommodates 120 pupils divided over four years of study. Since the year 2003, the diploma profits from an accreditation in Master Européen of “Originator in landscape”. This school is recognized by the French federation of the Landscape (FP) like by the European Federation of the Landscape (EFLA).

Admission

One reaches the ESAJ with a baccalaureat and after a judging maintenance of general culture and of the motivation of the candidate. The students holders of a BTS “Installations landscape” have the possibility of returning directly in second year, subject to a convincing specific maintenance.

Program studies

First year: It is essentially: awakening with fundamental, sensitizing with the landscape, acquisition of the theoretical tools.

Second year: One develops to with it capacities of perception, analysis, of comprehension, the problems of composition applied to projects to existing sites.

Third year: Two projects on real sites occupy the first two quarters. At the end of the second quarters, the pupil passes his pre-diploma in front of a jury of professors.

Fourth year: the student is free to choose his subject of diploma, it is obligatorily a subject resulting resulting from real problems, suggested by public or deprived partners.

The fourth year ends in a formation Informatique 400 hours, principalment centered on the software Autocad and the software of page layout. At the end of the fourth year and after obtaining the diploma, the student can (after having justified a sufficient English level TOIEC), to obtain Master Européen of “Originator in landscape”.
