University of Warsaw (in Polish, " Uniwersytet Warszawski" , in Latin " Universitas Varsoviensis") of largest the Polish universities is one. It is located in the capital of Poland: Warsaw.

Founded on November 19th, 1816, it counts 60.766 students (given 2004). The vice-chancellor of the university is the professor Katarzyna Chałasińska-Macukow. The administration of the University is in Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warszawa.

Having a large majority of the lesson specific to the public universities, the university of Warsaw east however one of the world leaders in research in Chemistry.
