University of Wales with Aberystwyth
The university of Wales with Aberystwyth (in English University off Wales, Aberystwyth ) is a British university located in the town of Aberystwyth on the west coast of the Wales. Accommodating approximately 9000 students in 2006, divided between 18 departments, the university is mainly famous for its department of international relations. The university was founded in 1872 as University College Wales. The first president of the university was Thomas Charles Edwards and one counted only 26 students. It is in 1919 qu ' is inaugurated the department of international relations, it acts then of the first department of this kind in the world. Among the famous former students, one can quote the prince Charles, who studied Welsh there during one year before becoming prince de Galles.
