The Université of Valladolid is a founded Spanish Public university in XIIIe century. It is in load of the higher education of 4 provinces of the community of Castille-and-León (Province of Valladolid, Province of Palencia, Province of Soria and Province of Segovia, principal establishments being located in the capitals of these provinces bearing the same name).

Campus of Valladolid

It is composed of a school of architecture, schools of engineer, faculties of Sciences, Economy, right (building of the 18esiècle), of education, Philosophy and Letter, of a polytechnic school, a school of nurse and a school of sciences entrepreuneuriales. Its various establishments are distributed in four campuses distinct from the town of Valladolid.

Campus of Palencia

This campus gathers a school of training of the professors, one facutés of sciences of work and a school of engineer in agriculture. It will be noted that this accommodated city the old University of Palencia, named general studium of Palencia which was one of the first university of Europe and the first University of Spain. It was founded towards 1208/1211 by the archbishop Tello Téllez de Meneses and Alphonse VIII of Castille. One taught there arts and theology, the University closed of 1243 to 1263. This University could be at the origin of the University of Valladolid.
