University of Tampere

The University of Tampere (University off Tampere, ATU) account approximately 15000 students and 2100 employees. In the beginning, it was founded in 1925 with Helsinki, and became in 1930 the School of social sciences. In 1960, it was delocalized with Tampere, and in 1966, it takes the name of Université of Tampere .

The university is divided into six faculties:

  • Faculty of economy and the administration

  • Faculty of education
  • Faculty of letters
  • Faculty of Science of information
  • Medical college
  • Faculty of social sciences
