University of Saint-Gall

The University of Saint-Gall or HSG (German Name: Universität St Gallen) is one of the most prestigious universities of the German-speaking world in the field of the economy, the right and social sciences. It is located in the town of Saint-Gall, in Suisse.

Founded in 1898 as a business school, the HSG knew very early to combine rigor and dynamism, rising with the row of the best European universities, if they are not world in the field of the " economic studies, legal and sociales" (according to the official heading).

At the conclusion of very selective the first year ( Assessment Stufe ) which proposes a general course, the students must direct themselves towards a specific die. The University of Saint-Gall gives trainings of the Bachelor to the Doctorat, while passing by the Master in the following disciplines:

  • trade (BWL)
  • economy (VWL)
  • international relations and governorship
  • right

The University of Saint-Gall is twinned with many other establishments throughout the world. Several double-diplomas are proposed there in the fields the commercial (network with HEC Paris, the Université Bocconi, …) and of the international relations (Sciences Po,).

Since 1970, St Gallen Symposium, which is held each year at May, counts among the important appointments during which intervene of the representatives of the economic and world politics elite (head of undertakings, ministers, European Commissioners, Nobel Prize).

The university campus on Rosenberg has specificity to expose in its common parts (opened with all) of works of Picasso, Miró, Braque, Calder or Giacometti.
