The Université of Quebec is a network made up of ten Université S public of the Quebec. It was created in 1968 by an act of the National Assembly of Quebec. Its head office is with Quebec.

In 2005, the network offers more than 300 programs and accommodates more 76  000 students, giving him the statute of the wide-area network of universities of the province. The supreme authority of the network of the University of Quebec is the Parliament of the governors. She is composed of the members of the directions, the vice-chancellors of the establishments, 3 professors, 2 students and members coming from the socio-economic medium.

• the University of Quebec with Rimouski (UQAR), campus with Rimouski and Lévis;
• the University of Quebec with Three-Rivers (UQTR), Three-Rivers;
• the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), campus with Valley-in Or, Rouyn-Noranda and other cities;
• the University of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO), with Gatineau;

Other establishments

• the School of higher technology (ETS), with Montreal;
• the National school of public administration (ENAP), School with Quebec, and of the campuses to Montreal, Gatineau, Three-Rivers, and in Saguenay.
• the National institute of the scientific research (INRS), Institute with Quebec and campus in Montreal;

TELUQ sits at Quebec and has a campus in Montreal. Since June 22nd, 2004, it is officially attached to the UQAM.

the Observatory of Quebec (ODQ), is a research center pluridiciplinaire, which sits at the University of Quebec, with Quebec.
