University of Marne-the-Valley
The university of Marne-the-Valley is located on the new city of Marne-the-Valley in the Parisian East. The campus of the Cité Descartes is mainly localized on the town of Champs-sur-Marne. Dies are also with Noisy-the-Large or on the Val of Europe thus forming a true university complex on the whole of the new Ville, with many other schools of engineers and architects: National school of the Highways Departments, University of Electronics engineers and Electrotechnical, Engineers 2000….
It started its activities in 1989 after being created following the plan Université 2000 . At its beginnings, it was only one delocalized antenna of the Université Paris VII: it became independent in 1991.
At present, this university counts a hundred dies, approximately 11.500 students and 400 teachers permanent.
Antenna of Valley of Europe
The building “Charles-Cross-country race” is located at Serris, in the middle of the Val of Europe, fourth sector of the new Ville of Marne-the-Valley. It does not have a university canteen, this one being located on the site of Champs-sur-Marne. Charles-cross-country race is built with some steps of the shopping mall of the Val of Europe.
A big number of Ordinateur S is at disposal of the pupils. Many in the classrooms, they are equipped with the greatest software of imageries 3D, photo final improvement, assembly its and others under a system PC, on which is sometimes installed the operating system Linux. Art & Technique - Sound Materials and Musical Recording
The section Art & Technique - Sound Materials and Musical Recording particularly holds the attention of the graduates and of the external candidates because it is about the only public corporation which offers a formation of the university type to the techniques of the sound. It includes/understands sound courses of creation, composition, technique of studio etc They are exempted in 3 years (License) and for the majority by respected professionals, type-setters and experienced artists (mainly in electroacoustic music ).
The outlets of these formations are very vast (as much in image that in its). It will be often necessary to carry out a training course preliminary to a true recruiting.

Structure
The various buildings of the University of Marne-the-Valley have famous names of scientists in general and often have a very particular architecture.
The principal building of the University (Copernic Building) is located in an old building of the company Bull given to the University by that one.
