University of Leeds
The university of Leeds ( University off Leeds ) is a English Université located in the town of Leeds. It is in 30e position of the league of universities British 2007, published by the newspaper Sunday Times. The university belongs to the universities Red Brick , and WUN (Worldwide Universities Network) groups it, specialists in research.
History
The university was founded in 1831 under the name of Leeds School off Medicine . In 1887, it became part of Victoria University , spread in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. She became independent in 1904, after a decree of the king Edouard VII, and could decree her own diplomas.
