University of High-Alsace

The Université of High-Alsace is a French university, whose buildings are located at Mulhouse and Colmar. The Name of High-Alsace comes from one of the two subdvisions of the old historical province of Alsace. High-Alsace corresponded about to current the departments of the Haut-Rhin and the Territory of Belfort.

Currency of the University: the future has direction

The University of High Alsace (UHA) account approximately 8000 students. They are distributed in a hundred formation distributed in the four following fields:

  • Letters, Languages and Social sciences
  • Management and Commerce
  • Right and Social sciences
  • Sciences and Technologies
It comprises three campuses:
  • two campuses in Mulhouse: the Campus of Illberg (District High-Pear tree) and the campus of the Foundry (District of the Foundry)
  • a campus in Colmar distributes on two sites (Grillenbreit with the downtown area and Biopôle in the south of the city)
The 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of Chemistry of Mulhouse was officially integrated into the UHA in October 2006 after the accident of March 24th, 2006 to 12:24 or a violent explosion which has occurred in one of the research laboratories destroyed part of the School. This explosion caused the death of the one of its teachers and seriously wounded a coed. The majority of destroyed surface, close to 4000m ², was mainly dedicated to the research laboratories and some rooms of teaching and practical works, causing 24,7 M€ of property damages.

  • IUT of Colmar: Hygiène Safety Environment HAD, HAD Biological Genius, HAD Legal Career, HAD Technical of Marketing, HAD Networks and Telecommunications (and HAD Thermal Genius and Energy subject to enabling for the year 2007-2008) like several professional licenses
  • IUT of Mulhouse: HAD Business management and administrations, HAD logistic Management and transport, HAD Services and communication networks, HAD Electronic engineering and industrial data processing, HAD mechanical Engineering and computer-integrated manufacturing and HAD Science and genius of materials like several professional licenses
