University of Constantinople
The Université of Constantinople was founded into 425 by the Emperor Théodose II. It instituted 31 pulpits in Right, Philosophie, Médecine, Arithmétique, Géométrie, Astronomie, Musique and Rhetoric. Fifteen of these pulpits were in Latin, sixteen in Greek.
In 849, the regent Bardas reorganized it and she was officially recognized like Université.
The University disappeared during XIVe century.
