Five more recent buildings were built since Glacier, Olympus, Norquay, Brewster, and Castle Halls built before the Winter Olympics of 1988 as a Olympic village, for the occasion. However, each one of these buildings are much smaller than the traditional residences, having only one or two stages (with between 10 and 30 students by stages). Put besides this difference, the six last residences were designed on the d'" type; appartements" with a principal corridor leading to apartments of 4 people maximum. That contrasts with the traditional residences built around three separated corridors, each one connecting of the rooms of 2 people maximum, with a room common to the center of each stage.
