University of Bergen

The Université of Bergen ( Universitetet I Bergen or Universitas Bergensis ) is located at Bergen, in Norway. It was founded rather tardily in 1946, though university activities are attested with the natural history museum city since 1825. It accommodates today nearly 17.000 students, within the framework of an inexpensive public education: the annual rights rise to approximately 800 NOK, that is to say about 100 euros. The places of teaching are dispersed in the south of the center town, around the natural history museum of natural history, Johanneskirken and the Griegakademiet, the music school integrated into the university. In 2004, the Norwegian billionaire Trond Mohn has fact including of 300 million crowns at the university for the funds of research. That represents a sum of approximately 37,5 million euros.
