The Université of Arizona (UA) is a public university located at Tucson in Arizona. It is the first university of the state of Arizona, founded in 1885 whereas the state was yet only one Territory. In 2005, 37.036 students were registered there.

Among the most important programs of the university, one finds sciences sciences optical, the Astronomie and the Astrophysique. The UA is one of the universities most distinguished by the NASA with which it takes part in many exploration programs space. It is member of the network Space-grant creates and sponsored by the Congrès of the United States and which gathers several American universities for the space study.

The university is also famous for the Hydrologie and the Hydrogéologie, the Philosophie and the Anthropologie. It has also one of the Faculty of Law ( law school ) classified in the first third of the Faculty of Law American and one of the 20 first Business school of the United States and the only medical college.

In the sporting field, the Arizona Wildcats defend the colors of UA.
