University Marie Curie-Skłodowska of Lublin
The Université Marie Curie-Skłodowska of Lublin (in Polish Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej , commonly shortened in UMCS ) was founded on October 23rd, 1944 with Lublin.
Its name was given to him in the honor of Maria Sklodowska- Curie.
Currently, the number of students is of approximately 35 000 and the university counts 428 professors.
In order to satisfy the increasing demand of places, the university opened subsidiary companies in the towns of Biała Podlaska, Biłgoraj, Radom, Kazimierz Dolny and Rzeszów/Reichshof.
