The Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 is the Université humanities of Bordeaux. It is located at Pessac in the university Domaine of Pessac Talence Gradignan, and accommodates: 15000 registered students. The university Bordeaux 3 is most important of the four universities of Bordeaux of many students and accommodates nearly 30% of the students of Bordeaux.

The university Bordeaux 3 was created by the law Edgar Faure in 1971 at the same time as Bordeaux 1 (which then gathered sciences and the economy) and Bordeaux 2. It takes the name Michel de Montaigne in 1990.

36 diplomas of university are delivered by this university and 25 languages are taught there.

Governorship

Like all Public corporation in scientific, cultural and professional matter (EPSCP), the university is directed by an elected president, a general secretary named by the minister for the Higher education and Research (but selected by the university, on file), and of an accountant named jointly by the Minister for Higher education and the minister in charge for the Budget.

The University Michel de Montaigne is located in the Académie of Bordeaux, and is of this fact placed under the supervision of the vice-chancellor of this academy.

The university, as envisages it its statutes, is directed by an office made up of the president and four vice presidents and an enlarged bureau including/understanding the vice president deputy and the operations managers.

Apple one Campus

The university Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 is the only one of Bordeaux to belong to the program “Apple one Campus”. It thus makes it possible to the students to more easily reach the computer of the Apple mark. An agreement was made between Apple and the university Bordeaux 3 to offer 12% of reduction on all mac and the accessories.

Within the framework of this program, a student " campus rep" is charged to make the promotion of these products near the users.
