Universe (font face)
The Univers is a Police of writing created by Adrian Frutiger, on behalf of the Fonderie Deberny-Peignot, in the neighborhoods of 1957.
This cast iron without-serif remainder, nearly fifty years after its creation, traditional of the Contemporary Typography .
Universe was designed “to function”, from a typographical point of view, in all the languages. This character, which was to be entitled in the beginning Monde was remarkably sold abroad, in particular in Suisse.
It for example equipped the communication with the Olympic Games of summer of 1972 with Munich. One also finds Univers on the panels navy blue of the SNCF.
