UPPS is a meaning Sigle: Unit of proximity of Prompt help .
It is about a center of intervention and help at the firemen. These units, often present in small communes not having Ambulance, are charged to carry out the assumption of responsibility of the victim and first aid on the victim while waiting for an ambulance coming from a nearby help center.
These units are composed of 3 sappers firemen (CFAPSE + DSA) + 1 vehicle (of type VTU more the share of time). They have a bag of first aid (standard VSAB: O ², Bandage CHUT, American, etc) and of a DSA.
