Union of the people (Estonia)

The Union of the people of the Estonia, in Estonian Eestimaa Rahvaliit (ERL), is a Political party Estonia preserving N, and Agrarien, having obtained 6 deputies at the time of the legislative elections of the March 4th 2007 and 13 deputies, at the time of the preceding legislative elections to the Riigikogu, the March 2nd 2003.

It was created in 1994 and is directed by Villu Reiljan, former minister for the Environment (outgoing in March 2005, reconfirmed in April 2005 at the same station). It counts officially 8.055 members and took part in the government, in coalition with the Parti the Reform (Estonia) and the Parti the Center (Estonia), since the April 13rd 2005 until May 2007. It does not have any more a European member of Parliament since June 2004 (in spite of its 8,05%, the agrarian right party Eestimaa Rahvaliit is victim of the electoral quotient and does not obtain any seat). It defends of the born positions Agrarien and belonged to the Union for Europe of the Nations (UEN) to the the European Parliament (the group in particular of the National alliance Italy and of the Fianna Fáil Irish).
