Union for Peru
Unión por el Perú (be: Union for Peru) is a Peruvian Political party center founded in 1994 by the former general secretary of the the United Nations, Javier Pérez de Cuéllar. This party took part in the elections of 1995 against Alberto Fujimori.
In 2005 this party formed an alliance with the Peruvian nationalist party, which launched the candidature of the nationalist Ollanta Humala, this one gained to it first electoral turn the April 9th 2006, but without obtaining 50% of the votes, which obliged to organize a second tower vis-a-vis Alan García which gained the election.
