History
Damon lost with the play most of the money that one had entrusted to him, not to be equipped as a soldier, but to buy a load. If it did not lose more, it is that its adversary wants to play only money cash, and that the money of Damon is in a notary. He thus goes, in the hope of a revenge, to seek it, but still loses all. The “unforeseen joy” is that the partner of Damon, which hid under a domino, is not the knight rascal, but his/her own father.
