The underground Montreal , or interior city , is the network of underground Ville of Montreal. Since 2004, it is indicated by the name of RÉSO .
The underground Montreal belonged to the modernization plans of the mayor of Montreal Jean Drapeau, in the Années 1950, just as the Métro of Montreal. It was born with construction from the Place City-Marie in 1962. It is the greatest underground complex in the world.
The network consists of 30 km of tunnels, covering 12 km ² and includes 60 residential and commercial complexes, adding up 3,6 km ² of space usable. This accounts for 80% of the space of office and 35% of the commercial space of the district of City-Marie. Among the accessible services, one counts Banque S, Hôtel S, shopping malls, head offices, buildings university, residences of luxury, like seven and two station subway stations of suburban trains. The subway station Berri-UQAM is the central station of the network of subway, located at the east of the downtown area. In addition to binding several buildings of the University from Quebec to Montreal (UQAM) them houses Judith-Jasmine, Athanase-David, and Hubert-Aquin it is also connected to the central Terminus of bus, the station for connections intermunicipales, interprovinciales and towards the United States. The Place Dupuis, a complex commercial, of office and hotel, is also bound, just as the Grande Bibliothèque of Quebec.

There is also a possible bond with the Faubourg Co.-Catherine, where the Concordia University has buildings. This one is already related on the tower of the Suburb (Tower Suburb) and to the campus of the Gray Sisters. The building of Bank TD (Toronto Dominion) that Concordia has just acquired is also prone to a potential bond.
At the present moment, there is no connection between the station Guy-Concordia and the tower to office which overhangs its entry, street St-Mathieu.
The Atwater station, in the west of the downtown area and the end is of Westmount, is connected to the shopping malls Plaza Alexis-Nihon and Westmount Square, with turns at offices, complexes residential and with CÉGEP of English language of the Collège Dawson.
Several other subway stations outside the downtown area are connected to other buildings.
