Under the sign of Assembles-Cristo is a Film French of André Hunebelle, left in 1968, modern adaptation of the novel of Alexandre Dumas the Count of Assembles-Cristo.
Synopsis
Edmond Dantès, imprisoned with Sisteron to have denounced and allowed the dismemberment of a whole network of Resistance, arrives in company of Bertuccio, in 1947, to escape towards South America. But the wreck of the plane is fished out soon not far from Brazil and the fugitive ones are regarded as deaths. They save the life of an young girl, Linda, and of his/her father in the desert. One day, Linda is removed by kidnappers. Its release ends in the assassination of his/her father. The years pass, but the chances of their misfortune lead them to meet a drunkard, Faria, which is claimed holder of a treasure… Rich person, under a new name, Edmond is introduced into the medium where Morcef - which married been engaged of Edmond, Maria - and Villefort live luxuriously thanks to the stolen million which allowed their success. It finds the denouncer who confirms his suspicions and it attracts in a trap the two instigators of the félonie. Linda tightens a trap with the Villefort Master, who wants to kill Edmond for the second time…
