Uncle David
David Grammont alias Tonton David is a Chanteur French of Reggae born the October 12th 1967 with the Réunion.
It takes part at the end of the Années 1980 in Sound System High Fight International which gathered at the time of other artists like Nuttea. It also turns a time with Pierpoljak. It contributes then to the development of the French reggae thanks to its title Peuples of the world present on compilation Rappattitude . It will be sold with 100.000 specimens. Its song " On and certain" exit on the album " Go them dire" is a large success, it will be even nominated with the Victoires of the Music. Thereafter other great success such as " follows; Each one its route" (song topic of the film an Indian in the city or it collaborates for the album with Manu Katché and Geoffrey Oryema). The album " Recidiviste" he also is a pretty success with for examples of the initials like " It goes seul" , " For everyone pareil" or its duet with Cheb Mami " Fugitif". Thereafter Tonton fell a little into the lapse of memory.
In 2002, then under contract with a new producer, David Grammont is made pirate by its old recording company Delabel-Virgin which leaves a Best off.
It takes part in the Printemps of Bourges in 1994.
