Une town of Sweden located in the County of Västerbotten and in the historical province of Västerbotten, at 600 kilometers in the north of Stockholm and has more or less 500 kilometers of the polar circle. The city, crossed by EMU älv (river EMU), is located on western bank of the Gulf of Bothnia.
With approximately 110.700 inhabitants in the common of which it is the chief town and 70.000 in the agglomeration, Umeå is more the big city of Swedish north, the Norrland, and sits of a prefecture, a Court of Appeal and a university. This university returns the population of the particularly young city (Middle Age: 36 years and 30.000 students) and dynamics.
