Ultraviolet is a American film of action and Science-fiction left in 2006. The film is written and carried out by Kurt Wimmer.

Synopsis

Towards the end of the 21e century, an young woman called Violet is victim of a disease called hémophagie, which gives to the individuals superhuman capacities but shortens their lifespan. These “hémophages” presents similarities with the Vampire S and the Gouvernement tries to exterminate them. Purple the way of an young man crosses who is one of the targets of the intentions of the government. She must protect it and discover why it is so important.

Anecdotes

  • Before the beginning of turning, Kurt Wimmer required of Milla Jovovich to strike it, in order to feel the intensity which it put in its scenes of action. This kind of technique was already used on Milla Jovovich by the realizers Alexander Witt (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and Paul Anderson (Resident Evil).
  • Milla Jovovich (Purple) employs in this film an alternative of the Gun-Kata, a method of combat combining martial arts and firearms.

The turning of film began beginning February 2004 in various towns of China, primarily with HongKong and Shanghai, to finish fine June 2004. In 2005, the Bande-annonce was diffused without authorization on Internet, and Kurt Wimmer required that all the clips in circulation be withdrawn in order to maintain the secrecy. The official trailer left in January 2006.
