Ultimate tear

Saishū heiki kanojo (ja 最終兵器彼女), so known under the short cut Saikano or its French name ultimate Tear and English She, the ultimate weapon , is a Manga of Shin Takahashi.
Published with the Japan by Shōgakukan.
Published in French with the editions Delcourt.
Series in seven volumes. The manga was also adapted in a version animated in thirteen episodes by the studios Gonzo Digimation, distributed in France by Declic Images under the name the Ultimate Weapon .

The title chosen during the French adaptation of the manga, ultimate Tear , allows a word game compared to the ultimate weapon , translation more literal. This last is the title which was retained for the translation of the animated adaptation.

Short summary of the history

Synopsis of the 1st episode :

The Ultimate Arme reports the history of two teenagers, Shûji and Chise. He is sportsman and serious; it is timorée and its school results are poor. Nevertheless the destiny links them when Chise finds courage to acknowledge its feelings with Shûji, becoming thus his/her boyfriend.

It is following a Bombardement of Sapporo that Shûji, miraculé wandering in the city, discovers Chise metamorphosed, a gun in the place of the arm and wings metal leaving to him the back.

It is the Arme Ultime conceived by the government and intended to protect the Japan.

List characters

Chise (ja ちせ) : Heroin of the history, Chise is the ultimate weapon. It small, awkward, is timorée and timid. It with the characteristic to be wounded much and always to excuse themselves what irritates his/her Shûji boyfriend particularly.
Shûji (ja シュウジ) : Hero of the history. Old of the club of athletics, it is large and sportsman. In spite of its cynicism and its cold appearance, it agrees to become the boyfriend of Chise and will try to protect it. It hides much its feelings and never knows really how to react vis-a-vis Chise.
Akemi : Common friend of Chise and Shûji, it follows closely their history, trying to help them to overcome their timidity one with respect to the other. Sharp and active character, it tries “to shake” a little his friends in their relation.
Fuyumi Sempai : First love of Shûji, married to a soldier left on the face. In its loneliness, it finds Shujî with which it has a relation. The suffix Sempai is used here because Fuyumi was the elder hierarchical one of Shûji in the club of athletics.
