Biography

Ulrich Ier de Mecklembourg-Stargard was probably born towards 1382. He reigned jointly with his brother Jean II of Mecklembourg-Stargard. In 1408, by mutual agreement the two brothers signed an act of division of the possessions inherited their father. Ulrich Ier accepted Brandenbourg, Stargard, Strelitz, Lize. Recently installed in its castle, he died the April 8th 1417, according to certain rumors he would have been poisoned. He was undoubtedly buried in Wanzka or his/her daughter was abbess.
