Ulnar nerve
The ulnar nerve or cubital nerve is a Nerf upper limb at the man. It is sometimes called “small Jew”.
Anatomy
The ulnar nerve is resulting from the beam médial Plexus brachial in the Région axillaire. It walks on in this area between the artery and the Veine axilaire S then on the level of the arm, is laid out slightly behind of the Humérus, passing behind the septum intermusculaire médial and in a short posterior gutter with the épicondyle médial. It is in this area subcutaneous and very exposed with the Traumatisme S.Its way continues in the médiale part of the Avant-bras, returning in the former part after being last under the arcade of the ulnar Flexor of the carpus.
The ulnar nerve reaches the Poignet while passing under the rétinaculum of flexor, in a small internal unfolding in contact with the pea-shaped Os, the cabin of Guyon, accompanied by the ulnar Artère. It becomes exhausted in sensitive and driving branches for the Main.
Branches and innervation
The ulnar nerve is mainly a motor nerve, although it is in load of part of the sensitive innervation of the hand.
Terminal sections:
-
common palmar digital Nerve of the 4th space
- common dorsal digital Nerve of 4th and the 3rd space
Innervation motor coach:
- Third and fourth chief of the deep Flexor of the fingers
- palmar interosseux Muscles
- dorsal interosseux Muscles
- Third and fourth lombricaux Muscles
- Muscle opposing of the little finger
- short delivery Muscle of the little finger
- short flexor Muscle of the little finger
- deep Chief of the short flexor Muscle of the inch
- Adductor of the inch
sensitive Territory depend on the ulnar nerve:
This territory recovers the internal half of the Paume, the fifth finger and the internal half of the fourth finger.
Pathology
The lesions of the ulnar nerve generally involve Paralysie S of the quoted muscles and a hypoesthesy even a Anesthésie of the sensitive territory which depends on it. The lesions can be of traumatic origin (Luxation of the Coude, Fracture of a bone of the arm/front armlever), or appear in Neuropathie S. It arrives that similar lesions appear after an surgical operation: bad position of the arm during the anesthesia…
