Ursula Schmidt , known as Ulla, born the January 4th 1949 with Aachen, is a political woman German, member of the social democrat Parti (SPD).

It was, starting from the January 12th 2001, federal minister for Health in the Cabinet Schröder I, then, since the October 22nd 2002 with the November 22nd 2005, federal minister for Health and the Social security in the Cabinet Schröder II.

Since the November 22nd 2005, it is federal minister for Health in the Cabinet Merkel.
