Uldin King of Huns (~370) - (~412)

Its territory extends to north from the the Danube. It seems to have been in good terms with the Roman Empire. It seized then the general Gaïnas in escape on its territory, decapitated it and returned its head to the emperor Arcadius to Constantinople in December 400 in order to confirm the good relationships between the two States. It also made it possible Stilicon to recruit auxiliaries hunnic into 405 to counter the Vandales Radagaise. It ran up then against the Roman empire of the East while trying to force the Danubian borders.
