Ugo Betti
Ugo Betti (Camerino, February 4th 1892 - Rome, June 9th 1953) was a Poète, Dramaturge and considers Italian. Betti made studies in rights á Parma, when he enlisted like volunteer with the release of the First World War. It was captured meadows of Kobarid and was interned á Rastatt, in company of two other writers, Carlo Emilio Gadda and Bonaventura Tecchi which will become his/her friends. At the end of the conflict, it finished its studies and became judge. Writing in its spare times, it published its first collection of poems in 1922, entitled It Re pensieroso (in French: the pensive king ). These poems were written during the period when he was prisoner in Germany, between 1917 and 1918. Its first drama, entitled the padrona (in French: the owner ), was presented for the first time in 1927 and success obtained pushed it to be dedicated entirely to the Théatre. In 1931 it moved Parma with Rome. At the end of the Second world war, he worked with the library of the Italian Ministry of justice. Although he wrote several dramas during the fascistic period , its most known works were written during the years forty.
He wrote 27 plays on the whole. He is regarded as one of the largest Italian playwrights.
