Ubisoft

Ubisoft is a French company of development and distribution of video games which was created in 1986 by five brothers of the name of Guillemot, originating in Carentoir in the Morbihan.

Ubisoft is one of the French main actors in his field.

Ubisoft Montreal is the most important studio of internal development of the company. Ubisoft Montreal counts approximately 1600 employees in 2007. This studio falls under the strategy of expansion in North America of the company. The choice of establishment was guided by the quality of the engineers and quality of life like by bilingualism with the Quebec. Another studio was open in the town of Quebec on June 1st 2005. Continuous Ubisoft to invest massively in Quebec, and has an objective of Québécois manpower of 3.000 employees by 2013. Of this number, approximately 1000 job creations are envisaged between 2007 and 2013 (800 in Montreal and 200 in Quebec), including 500 for the video game and 500 for the creation of a new numerical movie studio whose contents of works will be based on the licenses had by Ubisoft.
