Ubiens
The Ubiens were one of the people Germains. They lived on Right Bank of the the Rhine. Jules César formed an alliance with them in 55 av. J. - C.. In 39 av. J. - C., they moved on left bank with Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. They would not have done that under order of the Romains, but by fear of the Suèves. Clutched founded the town of Cologne which became their capital.
Ubiens were the honest ones combined towards the Romans and helped the latter to repress the revolt of the Bataves in 70. They were very sensitive to the Roman culture and then changed their name into Agrippenses into the honor of Clutched.
