USS Duluth (CL-87)

The Bear Rock Festival was created in 1995 by a group of students eager to animate the town of Andenne (Belgium) and to share with its inhabitants their musical tastes. It is held each last Friday of June on the place of the Chapter, with the foot of collegial Holy-Begge, and is entirely free.

The first nine editions were held on a single scene. In 2004, one second scene under capital came to be added to the first.

Dedicated to the Rock'n'roll in all its forms, the festival aims in particular the promotion of the regional artists (some groups andennais, such as Lillian Gish or Sweek for example, could make known itself thanks to this event), but also that of Belgian or foreign groups still too little known according to the organizers. Among the artists who already occurred in Bear Rock Festival, one can announce the group Post-rock'n'roll Japanese Mono or the French of Dionysos. During the festival, between the concerts, of projections of court-measurings on giant screens contribute to the originality of the festival. The president of the non-profit-making association Bear Rock Festival is Jean-Luc Delory.
